Joanne Cortis, LPN, a retired nurse from Sinai Hospital of Detroit, has over ten years experience in Oncology and Psychiatric nursing. She also owned and operated the Carousel Day Care Center in Detroit, a nursery school for children ages 2 1/2 - 5 for fifteen years. She is owner in residence of The Silver Tea Club in business since May of 1986.
Mark Cortis retired from Henry Ford Hospital of Detroit after 12 years of service in Emergency Medicine, and 2 years as Supervisor of the Phlebotomy Team and Laboratory Assistants. He is certified as an instructor in CPR, First Aid, and use of Automated External Defibrillation equipment. He has worked with Joanne Cortis since the home's opening.
